There’s heavy chatter on internet caps in US and beyond. The alleged bandwidth hog worldwide. Sure, that thing costs, by the Meg, from the supplier passed on to consumer.
Since video content was primed for the blame, I had a look at the way we consume media today. Imagine a blog with 5 or so embedded videos. One may watch just portions of each, and while passing on to others the unwatched ones keep loading in the background. Now, one may never revisit them in one session so that bandwidth is simply burnt and wasted. We’re talking serious megs here.
Solution? I can imagine a simple [x] stop loading movie button and a responsible consumer.
